Children are being referred to Childrens Hope Foundation every day from family and friends, local child support teams, medical staff and other charities like Barnardo's or Scope. In order to help all of these children and young people who need our help we need a constant and regular input of funds knowing that whether great or small, we can make a difference.
Childrens Hope Foundation do not receive any government or statutory funding and all of our funding therefore comes from voluntary contributions and donations.
Many often ask, what difference their donation can make, and may not know how it will be used. There is no doubt that every penny is invaluable to us, and will make a very real difference to the children and young people we support.
To give you an indication of how your donation will help, it costs:
-
£100 to provide a good stock of reading books for a deprived school.
-
£300 to allow up to 12 schoolchildren to go on an educational visit.
-
£700 to provide a "Vibrating Mattress" for a child suffering Cystic Fibrosis.
-
£800 to provide a computer to ensure disabilty or illness does not hinder a child's education.
-
£1,000 to provide a Jenx Spider Chair for a child with movement difficulty.
We can accept donations in a number of different ways, for example by cheque, by telephone and online. Listed below are ways in which you can help.
Gift Aid
When making a donation you have the option to include Gift Aid, which allows charities to claim back the tax that has already been paid by sponsors as income or capital gains tax. This means that Childrens Hope Foundation gets an extra 28p for every pound donated by a UK tax payer. If you would like more information about Gift Aid try the Government's website for full details and services:

Regular giving to Childrens Hope Foundation
Regular giving helps us tremendously because with reliable long-term financial support we are better able to plan for our future. Even with only £5 a month we are able to pay for a child to join his/her class friends on educational visits, once Gift Aid is included.

Our online donation facility is run by the Charities Aid Foundation, a charity in its own right handling over £1 billion a year in charitable donations, which of course means that your donation will be treated professionally and completely securely. To read more about CAF go to their website at: www.cafonline.org/
If you prefer you can download a Direct Debit form and fill it in by hand. If you can then send it to Childrens Hope Foundation we will forward it to CAF for processing. Again, your details will be treated completely securely.
CAF is itself a charitable organisation one of whose unique purpose is to increase the substance of philanthropy around the world. Wherever we work we aim to help donors make the most of their giving, and non-profit organisations make the most of their resources. We hope you find this site a useful way to engage with what we do. Monthly Payroll Giving: Payroll Giving
is a scheme that enables you to make donations directly
from your wages before they are taxed. In this way,
not only does the charity receive your donation, it
also receives the tax that you would have paid on that
money had you not given it to charity. If you would
like to make a donation in this way ask to join your
company's payroll scheme and inform them that you would
like a monthly donation from your salary to go to Children's Hope Foundation. If your company has no such scheme
in place but you would still like to make a monthly
donation please get in touch with us and we will send
you the relevant forms to set up a standing order with
your bank. For details on giving in this way, contact Tom
